As someone I follow on social media says, “happy Friday eve, y’all!” I know y’all are probably wondering when I am going to expand my blog content beyond the “Best Six,” and let me just tell you that I promise you’ll see more variety here again soon! I’ve just been crazy busy this month, which leads me to...
1. I launched my own business!
Yep, you read that right and I am pretty friggin’ excited about it! I launched my virtual assistance business on August 15th, and now I will be helping solopreneurs and small business owners stop doing “all the things,” so that they can get back to focusing on just their passions. 2. I’m hosting a mamahood group.
I’ve been overwhelmed lately and really needing some other mamas to talk to and lean on for support. My mama friends are the best, but I get that we are all busy with our little ones, families, work, church, etc. and can’t meet up physically as soon as I would like to. And that’s when I remembered that I am so due for a session with Mother Squad. While they do have a larger package, I chose the $10 drop-in session for now since my schedule is so busy and unpredictable on this new business journey. But I want to connect and chat with familiar faces (and usernames!). So I reached out and asked the founder of Mother Squad if we could have our very own drop in group where we can just chat about all things mommyhood and encourage one another. And she said yes! The virtual session is $10 and would be for an hour on September 5th. I'd love if you'd join me! 3. My birthday.
Speaking of September and next week, my birthday is on the 7th, and I may have just remembered that a few days ago when my sister reminded me! With that being said...
4. I’m having a party!
My sweet sister Courtney called me Saturday and let me know that I am having a not-so-surprising surprise 90’s inspired birthday party! I’ve been wanting to throw a 90’s party for years, so I’m pretty excited about this!
5. I’m getting the mom haircut.
Yup, it’s time to finally surrender to the cut! I’m just over my hair constantly being in the mom bun, and the upcoming fall season has me itching to do something different with my hair.
6. Chick-fil-A really loves Atlanta.
Well, duh! Last week and this week, I’ve gotten a free sandwich and free 8-count nuggets just for having their app. Chick-fil-A, I love you!
