I'm Back!

Happy Monday ya'll! It's so good to be back in the blogosphere and chatting with you. I really, really needed a break from this space to regroup and breathe. Last month stretched me thin with the Ecclesiastes challenge, the Joy challenge my blogger-friend-in-my-head Nicole created, an attempt at the Whole 30 Challenge (anyone seeing a trend, here?), some hard personal stuff, and my best friend going into labor and delivering my sweet nephew last weekend. Not to mention, I am a wife, a full time working lady, and my weekends are usually busy. This isn't a woe is me moment, but a glimpse into how I set myself up to be way more busy than I should or need to be. Once my body kept trying to fight the same tiny cold, I knew it was time for a mini break.

But I've missed you guys so, and I'm excited to share how the rest of the year is going to look like around this space! You guys remember that i-word, right (click here if you don't)? Well, I want to finish off the year strong in being intentional. I want intentionality to ooze out of every area of my life; I want to see it and in all things I do. I think I've done a pretty decent job of that this year (a heck of a lot more than last year!), but I've also come to realize that in order for me to be intentional, I need to slow down, declutter, and simplify so that I can be in the right headspace to really focus on being intentional. So, for the past couple of months, I have been researching and implementing simplicity in my life.

Okay, so what does this have to do with this blog? Well for starters, I will be posting only twice a week, with a break during Thanksgiving and Christmas. I will also share some tips on intentionality and simplicity (which I think is going to be my word for 2016) as I go through this journey. There also may or may not be a website facelift on this site in celebration of this blog's second birthday.

This place is pretty much going to be how it has always been, which is sharing my heart as Jesus continues to shape and mold it. And right now, my heart is set on encouraging myself and my amazing readers to be more intentional and to create simplicity in life. We've been talking about being intentional a lot this year and I so can't wait to get to really talk about simplicity next year, although you'll get to start seeing my journey with simplicity starting with the next post. Speaking of next year - and this is probably my favorite part - I will be doing an intentional marriage workshop early 2016! More details will come later of course, but I get a lot of questions about marriage and I have worked really hard to make my marriage intentional, so I want to pass on ideas, tips, and the lessons I've learned to all you married ladies out there!

I'm excited for these next few week! Who's with me?!
